Consultation has concluded
Background The Town of Cobourg’s corporate website, Cobourg.ca, serves as the primary source of official information for Cobourg residents. The website provides up-to-date information to facilitate communication between the public, Councillors and staff.
The Town of Cobourg’s Communications Department has been informed the corporate website’s content management system (i:Create) will be coming to its end of life over the next few years. The Town of Cobourg will be transitioning to a new platform, Govstack, in hope to re-launch the corporate website, Cobourg.ca later this year. Govstack is a modern content management system providing more powerful options for layout and design.
Website and Service Excellence Priorities Service Excellence is one of three strategic priority areas in the Town of Cobourg Strategic Plan 2023 - 2027 and Beyond, with strategic actions including:
Assess points of contact with customers to identify ways to streamline communications, increase stakeholder engagement, demonstrate user friendliness and provide optimal service.
Embrace new technologies that will improve customer service and increase efficiency and accessibility.
The new website will include elements that advance Service Excellence, such as an intuitive navigation menu, a user-friendly design, as well as accessibility and responsiveness across devices.
Next Steps Thank you to everyone who submitted their feedback on the Cobourg.ca website!
The Communications Department is currently working on the development of the new corporate website with the hope to launch in November 2024. Once launched, staff will issue out a Public Notice and will once again be seeking the communities feedback so we can continue to improve this service.
